Elektec gift all primary schools in Blackburn-with-Darwen copies of When I Grow Up

Co-Owner of Elektec, Charlotte Knowles, said: “Upon hearing about this book and eventually reading it, I was amazed and in awe of Richard Smith. His vision, to educate and encourage children to understand the importance of construction sectors and hopefully, consider construction and STEM careers, is encapsulated so well.

I am personally very passionate about promoting construction careers and encouraging more females to enter the industry. Elektec have decided to gift copies of this book to every primary school in Blackburn with Darwen to assist Richard Smith in achieving his vision and inspiring the future generation.

I’ve always been a huge supporter of encouraging youngsters to consider careers in construction, technology and engineering, so I was delighted to learn about the ‘When I Grow Up’ book which I am sure will help inspire many children across Blackburn with Darwen – thank you to Elektec for making this happen”.
